I am a writer, reviewer, and blogger — but most of all I’m a lover of story. Books and stories are my passion, and films and games my familiar diversions. Any impulse I have to write comes from the joy of being entertained, of being challenged, and of being transported to worlds beyond the mundane. I find that genre storytelling does that best, and my own favorite stories can be found in the realms of science fiction, fantasy, and horror.

The focus of this site is genre fiction — books, stories, authors, movies, etc. I also write about writing, publishing, and the love of books. While I diverge from those parameters on occasion, I try to keep it to a minimum.

I’ve had some stories of my own in magazines and anthologies, as well as on a few websites. I’ve written reviews for Black Gate Magazine and others, and I’ve done freelance writing for several game companies. Links to my work can be found in the relvent sections of this site.
