Stuff like this always reminds me of the far-reaching impact Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson had on a generation (actually generations) of gamers who went on to successful lives and professional careers. For example, I know for a fact that D&D helped me foster a lifelong love of reading, which has helped develop my work habits and critical thinking skills.
