Because it is impossible to have too much Buckaroo Banzai in your life, I give to you the best ending credit sequence of all time:

Loved Buckaroo Banzai. I had forgotten that Jeff Goldblum was dressed like a cowboy. But was that really the best. ending. ever? Did anything fantastic ever come out of the L.A. river? I don’t think so. At least it wasn’t gross, like most of the other things that come out of that cesspool.

Yes! It was the best. ending. ever. I even looked it up before I posted in the Big Book of Best Endings (Ever).

I have never seen Buckaroo Banzai before, but I make have to remedy that. It looks too surreal for words.

It’s an experience you won’t soon forget!

I agree, Bill. had this Buckaroo on VHS and now have it on DVD; watch it once or twice a year. Laugh-a while you can, Monkey Boy has been a well-used phrase of mine for almost thirty years now. My only regret about watching Buckaroo Banzai is that the tongue-in-cheek sequel mentioned in the closing credits was never made.
